ATTENTION! 3 Bridge 5K Location Change

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the 3 Bridge 5k has had to change locations.

Race Time will remain the same, with the first wave of runners leaving at 7 A.M.

The new location will be at Hardaway High School. We ask that you avoid approaching Hardaway from Armour Road or Camille Drive as part of the course will be on these roads.

We also ask, that you try to park near the front of the school, instead of in the main parking lot. This will allow cars to come and go easily without interfering with the course.

And remember, we’re still limited to how many people we can have in one place. Once you have completed your race, please vacate the area to make room for the next wave of runners.

The new course is as follows: Map My Run
And don’t worry, you’re still running over 3 bridges, just some different ones.

Your wave time will be verified at packet pickup. You will not be able to change waves. We will not have race day pick up or sign up due to Covid-19 precautions.

Packet pickup will take place at Big Dog Running, Friday June 5th. It will go from 12pm to 6pm.

3 Bridge 5K – covid 19

Let’s start over running friends:

The Summer Series will kick off with the 3 Bridge Run on Saturday, June 6. Location: Country’s Barbecue on Broadway.

Our goal is to provide a true racing experience for participants while adhering to the CDC safety guidelines.

Please read all information below!
1) You must be preregistered to participate. No race day registration. You will pick your starting time. See #3.

2) Race number pick up will be on Friday from 12 – 6 pm @ Big Dog Fleet Feet outside.

3) The race will be started in waves – every 10 minutes starting at 7 am with 20 participants (please keep space between each runner at starting line). There will be a starting mat and finish mat. You must start at time selected. Once a time has reached its maximum, it will not be available. Please do not ask us to make exceptions.

4) There will be yellow signs for directions on course with few volunteers. Directions and map will be available at packet pick up.

5) If you require water, bring your hand held water bottle – there will be no water on course, cooler at start/finish area will be self serve.

6) Snacks at finish will be individually wrapped along with bottle of water in a bag. You will be handed a bag, please take one and continue out of path so next runner can receive theirs.

7) Times will be posted and updated as participants finish approximately every 10-15 minutes after the first 10 cross. Please remember to stay socially distant as you view the results.

 Final results will be posted and uploaded to websites and Facebook, both CRR and Big Dog. Awards will be at Big Dog starting at 12 noon Saturday 6/6/20 – Saturday 6/13/20.

To help ensure the safety of participants please adhere to the following guidelines:
1) follow CDC safe distancing
2) be in good health and symptom free – if you are sick stay home!
3) only approach starting line at your time
4) if you are a hacker, spitter or snot blower, bring a rag and use it!
5) once run completed please do not congregate in a group – continue to maintain distance.

Please keep in mind we have been graciously approved to have this race and our cooperation and adherence to the guidelines will be key to us being able to continue to offer competitive events in the future.

Lastly lets get out and run, stay healthy, and be thankful for our freedom to enjoy running our city!

Message from the President

Stay healthy! Run happy!

We know that running and exercise boosts your immune system and will keep you healthy during this time of uncertainty. We ask that you practice caution by washing your hands, staying at home if you feel sick, and practice social distancing if you do participate in a group run. Just a word of caution: avoid long, intense runs – as you deplete your stores of glycogen, your immune system does not function as well as it normally does. Keep that immune system strong!

Our next event/run is scheduled for 6/6/20 the 1st race of the Summer Series, we are hoping all of this is behind us and we are on our way to another series of running and staying fit.

We hope we all learn to do the things to keep our members and community safe! As we monitor updates, know that we want to acknowledge our 1200 Mile Club finishers and our Winter Series winners. At this time those celebrations are on hold, due to the updated guidelines by the CDC. I am working toward a solution that will celebrate your accomplishments yet keep you safe.

Let’s all make strides together to flatten the curve, yet remembering to help others in need, be socially responsible and RUN the Coronavirus out of our community!
