Heat Wave 5 Miler Packet Pick Up & Course Map

Packet pick up Friday, July 11 at Big Dog Running Co, downtown from 12-6pm. Registration also available. Bring your shirts to have them marked for the races completed.
Packet pick up Saturday, July 12 in the median in front of Big Dog Running Co from 6:20 – 7:45am. Registration also available.
Shuttles will pick up on 11th St between Iron Bank Coffee & Big Dog from 6:30 – 7:45am. Last shuttle at 7:45am.
There will be a water stop on the course.
Reminder: NO registration at the Marina- you must pick up bib on Fri at packet pick up or on Sat am downtown & ride shuttle to the start.

CRR Summer Series Registration

The Columbus Roadrunners Summer Series consists of 5 races. In order to be included in the series awards, you must run the Heatwave plus 3 of the 5K races.

Race #1: Summer Solstice 5K – Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 7:30PM, 1 mile fun run at 7:00pm
Race #2: Rails to Trails 5K – Monday, June 30, 2014 at 7:30PM (Near Legacy Chevrolet)
Race #3: Big Dog Heatwave 5 Miler (required) – Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 8:00AM (meet uptown at Big Dog – shuttles provided to transport runners to Lake Oliver Marina)
Race #4: Flat Rock Park 5K – Monday, July 21, 2014 at 7:30PM (Rails to Trails)
Race #5: Lakebottom Park 5K – Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 8:00AM

Series Registration Fees:
$65 – CRR Members
$85 – Nonmembers
Prices include entry into all marked races plus Series Shirt.

Individual Race Fees:
Summer Solstice 5K – $20 CRR Members, $25 Nonmembers
Lakebottom Park 5K – $20 CRR Members, $25 Nonmembers
Rails to Trails 5K – $10 CRR Members, $15 Nonmembers
Flat Rock Park 5K – $10 CRR Members, $15 Nonmembers

Awards:
Series awards will be given at the end of the Series along with a Celebration Party TBD. Runners must run Heatwave and 3 of the 5K races to be eligible for Series Awards. Awards will be given to the top 3 overall, Masters, winner in 10 year age groups – all male & female – based on time. Medal for completing all 5 races.

St. Patty’s Day 5K Registration & Pick Up

Packet pick up for the Big Dog St. Patty’s Day 5K, starts Friday Mar.14th at 12 noon until 6pm at downtown Big Dog Running 1104 Broadway. Packet pick up will also be Saturday, Mar. 15th from 3:00pm until 6:30 pm at Big Dog Running. If you have not registered for the race, you can still sign up! Registration will also be available until 6:30 pm, Saturday.
Race starts Saturday, Mar. 15th at 6:30 pm.

Arrive early to find parking. After the race, be sure to stay for the Columbus Road Runners March Social. There will be free food, drinks, and be sure to wear your green!

Super Bowl 5K/10K Packet Pick Up & Race Info.

Packet pick up Friday, 1/31/14 at Big Dog Running Co 1104 Broadway from 12 noon – 6pm and Saturday, 2/1/14 at Country’s Barbeque 1329 Broadway from 8:30 am – 9:50am.

 
Race start times: 1 mile 9:30am at corner of 14th & Broadway
5K & 10K 10am at 1st Ave & 14th St
Parking: TSYS open parking lot on 14th St or Downtown Elementary School 1st Ave
On your Bib Number will be a white ticket – it is your meal ticket for Country’s. Every runner will receive one ticket – please keep it attached to your BIB – you will need both your Bib Number & the meal ticket to get your Meal. The meal will be one sandwich, chips & drink. After the race you will go into the side door of Country’s to pick up your meal – must be picked up after the race – tickets will not be honored later in the day.
Please pay attention to the volunteers on the course, the 5K & 10K will start out together, the 5K will turn right on 5th St & the 10K will continue straight under the overpass & left onto the sidewalk down to the Riverwalk. Both 5K & 10K will cross over to the Phenix City Riverwalk & finish after crossing the 14th St Bridge/Walkway. If you are wearing headphones it is your responsibility to follow the course. Volunteers will be posted at each turn on the course.
Columbus Roadrunner Board Elections – don’t forget to fill out a form to vote for the 2014 CRR Board.
Awards will be at 11:45am outside Country’s Barbeque. We hope you will enjoy the meal & stick around for the awards.
Winter Series Final Celebration – Saturday, Feb 8 at Planet Pops 4pm – food & beverage available along with awards ceremony – see you there!

Red Nose Packet Pick Up

Packet pick up is Friday 1/3/14 from 12 noon – 8pm at Big Dog Running Co 1104 Broadway. You will receive your race number & if you ordered a shirt, your shirt.

Packet pick up will resume on Saturday 1/4/14 in the median in front of Big Dog Running Co 1104 Broadway from 6:30 am – 7:45 am. Packet pick up closes at 7:45 am! Race starts at 8am!

There are over 1000 registered runners, please plan to arrive in time to park & pick up your packet before 7:45am if you are waiting until Saturday to pick up.

Parking is available at the following parking garages: on Front Street between 9th & 10th streets, on Front Street between 10th & 11th streets, and on 11th Street & 1st Ave. Parking is available on the sides streets – highly recommend not parking on Broadway. There is a large parking lot at TSYS on 14th Street & is a short walk to start/finish line.

Portapotties will be available on 11th Street as well as several of the local businesses, Big Dog Running & Iron Bank Coffee Co. Again remember race starts at 8am, don’t get stuck in line waiting on an inside bathroom.

Awards will be at 11am in the median in front of Big Dog Running Co.

There will be pacers available for the race for the following times: 1:40, 1:45, 1:50, 1:55, 2:00, 2:05, 2:10, 2:15, 2:20, 2:30, & 3:00 They will be wearing bright colored shirts & carrying the times. Look for them at the start line & find the time you are interested in running.

One of our sponsors, Planet Pops will be giving recovery frozen popsicles to all the runners – look for their cart near the finish line. Other snacks & water for the runners will be located in the median where packet pick up is located in front of Big Dog Running Co.

Results will be posted on the windows of Big Dog Running Co as they are available.

Volunteers will be wearing bright green shirts, make sure you listen to their directions!

Bikers will be on the course to lead & help if needed. Medical tent will be located between the start/finish.

Big Dog Jingle 2013

Packet pick up for race #2 of the Winter Series, Big Dog Jingle 5K, starts Friday Dec. 20th  at 12 noon until 6pm at downtown Big Dog Running 1104 Broadway. Packet pick up will also be Saturday, Dec. 21st from 7:30 am until 8:55 am at Big Dog Running also. If you have not registered for the race, you can still sign up! Registration will also be available until 8:55 am Saturday.

Race starts Saturday, Dec. 21st at 9 am.

This is a big race with over 400 pre-registered runners, so plan to arrive early to find parking.
