Summer Series Registration Now Open

Summer Series 2015

Races include:

__ 1 Friday, June 19, 2015 Summer Solstice 5K 7:30 pm ___ 1 Mile 7pm

__ 2 Monday, June 29, 2015 Rails to Trails 5K (near Legacy Chevrolet) 7:30pm

__ 3 Saturday, July 11, 2015 Big Dog Heatwave 5 miler 8am (required)

__ 4 Monday, July 27, 2015 Flat Rock Park 5K ( Rails to Trails) 7:30pm

__ 5 Saturday, August 8, 2015 Lakebottom Park 5K 8am

Must run Heatwave plus 3 of the 5K races to be included in series awards.

 

CRR Member $65; Nonmember $85   Must run Heatwave & 3 of the 5K races to be considered for Awards

Price includes entry into all races marked plus Series Shirt

Individual 5K entry: Summer Solstice 5K & Lakebottom Park 5K: CRR Member $20; Nonmember $25; $30 Race Day

Summer Solstice One Mile: CRR member $10; Nonmember $15

June 29 & July 27 5K’s on Mondays: CRR Member $10; Nonmember $15

Awards: Series awards will be given at the end of the Series along with a Celebration Party TBD

Runners must run Heatwave & 3 of the 5K races to be eligible for Series Awards.

Awards top 3 overall, Masters, winner in 10 year age groups – all male & female – based on time

Medal for completing all 5 races.

Red Nose Packet Pick Up

Packet pick up Saturday, Jan 3 at 1104 Broadway (look for Big Dog flag) 6:30 am until 7:45 am. Closes sharply at 7:45 am. Please note the change!

If you are looking for the Pace Team – look for the runners wearing bright yellow Red Nose shirts near the intersection of 11th & Broadway at 745am.

See you in the am ready to run!

Parking is available at 1028 Front Ave parking garage, along 2nd Ave, and other downtown area streets. NO PARKING on Broadway from 10th – 11th street on the Big Dog side of Broadway. NO PARKING on 11th St from Front to Broadway.

Any participants running with a stroller must start in back.

Water Stops at approximately:

Mile 2.2 & 12: Water only; Mile 4.2, Mile 6, Mile 9, Mile 10.5: water, gatorade, vanilla bean Gu & Sport Beans. Water & Snacks at Finish.

Awards at 11 am.

Big Dog Jingle Packet Pickup

Packet pick up Friday, Dec 19 at Big Dog Running Co, 1104 Broadway, 12 noon – 6 pm. Packet pick up on Saturday, Dec 20 in median in front of Big Dog Running, from 7:30 am til 8:55 am.

Race starts at 9 am between Big Dog Running & Iron Bank Coffee Co on 11th & Broadway.

Fo those that have not picked up their Series shirts or did not receive their Nun Run shirts, those shirts will be available also.

Plan for time to park!

Don’t forget to pick up your bells on Saturday morning!

Nun Run Packet Pick Up & Race Info

Packet pick up Friday, Dec 5 at Big Dog Running Co Uptown, 1104 Broadway, 12 noon – 6 pm. Turkey Trot shirts will be available for pick up also. Winter Series shirts also. You will receive coupon for discount ticket for Sister Act.

Packet pick up Saturday, Dec 6 at Rivercenter 7:30 am – 8:55 am. Race starts at 9 am.

Registration is also available Friday at packet pick up $25 for individual race & on Saturday am $30 for individual race. See Carolee for Winter Series.

Awards will be inside the Rivercenter at 10am.

Big Dog Biathlon Packet Pick Up & Info

 

Address to Biathlon location: 2981 GA Hwy 41 South, Buena Vista, Ga

Directional map will be online at www.bigdogrunning.com

Instructions for race day:

1) Report for your wave 45 minutes before, each wave is 30 minutes

2) You must go thru a safety brief & practice shot to be cleared before you sign a waiver & receive your race number & T-shirt

3) You will not run with guns, guns will be at shooting stations

4) You must use guns provided which are 22 caliber semi-automatic

5) Ammo provided

6) Eyewear available at shooting stations

 

7) Awards will be presented 30 minutes after the last wave begins

Soldier Marathon Packet Pickup and Info

Soldier Marathon, Half Marathon & Relay Marathon Sat, Nov 8 start time 8am, with 5K starting at 8:10 am at the National Infantry Museum.

Packet pick up Friday, Nov 7 at National Infantry Museum from 11am til 7:30pm. Every participant will need to sign a waiver that will be located on a table as you enter the registration area before you can pick up your bib. This waiver is in addition to waiver signed online or on paper registration. Packet pick up will resume on Sat, Nov 8 at 6am until 7:45 am. Note: times are Eastern – remember time differences!

On Race day, there are 5 places to park around the National Infantry Museum: the Museum parking lot, Oxbow Meadow parking lot on S. Lumpkin Rd across the street from Museum, along the grass edge of S. Lumpkin Rd 1/2 mile south of museum. A bus will shuttle runners from grass parking to the Museum. Parking on S. Lumpkin Rd north of the Museum is restricted – it is part of the course. Please arrive early to park & walk comfortably to the start line.

Pasta dinner tickets are available at packet pick up. There is also an Expo outside the Museum. The Museum will also be open to the public for viewing.

Runners may choose a Fallen Hero in which to run in honor or memory. Location to choose a Hero is inside registratiion room.

Galloway Half Marathon Training Kickoff

If you have ever been interested in training for a Half Marathon, the Jeff Galloway program is a great place to start. This season’s training will target preparing runners for the Soldier Half Marathon in Columbus, or the Jeff Galloway 13.1 Half Marathon in Atlanta.

Come to the Galloway Half Marathon Training Kickoff at Big Dog Running on Broadway on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 6:30 PM. Come early to find parking.

Half Marathon Training begins Saturday, July 26, 2014.
