Rotary Park 5K Registration & Packet Pickup

Registration is still open for the Rotary 5K at Big Dog Running until 4pm or at the race itself after 6pm – $5 Columbus Roadrunners members, $10 for Non members.

Packet pickup Wed, Aug 7 at Big Dog Running Co (1104 Broadway) from 12 noon to 4:15pm then moves to Rotary Park from 6p until 7:25pm. Race starts at 7:30 pm at Rotary Park (1300 Victory Dr).

Parking will be at Rotary Park (2 small parking lots),  behind Bulldog Bait & Tackle –please follow directions from volunteers there to help you park, there is also a gravel parking lot just past the entrance to Rotary Park that is available for parking. Another option is to park at the Naval Museum & walk down the hill. There will be signs that say race parking, only park on the grass behind Bulldog where you are directed.
Bring your shirt to have it marked!
There will be water on the course – you will pass it twice.

Rotary Park 5K Registration

The Rotary Park 5K is coming up on August 7th. If you have not signed up for the Summer Series, but would still like to run this race, you can sign up for the race individually for $5 (Columbus Road Runners Members), or $10 (non-CRR members).

If you are interested in training for the JVA 10K Sept 7 -come join the Next Steps program on Tues & Thurs evenings at Cooper Creek at 6:30pm.

Flat Rock 5K Packet Pick Up & Registration

Packet pick up & registration for Summer Series Race #3 – Flat Rock 5K

Date: Wednesday, July 24
Location: Big Dog Running Co, 1104 Broadway

$5 members; $10 for nonmembers sign up at downtown Big Dog or at Flat Rock
12 -4:30pm then will move to Flat Rock Park at 6pm until 7:25pm. Packet pick up at Flat Rock will be at the start/finish of the race on the right side of the road. Race starts at 7:30pm. It starts on the road in the park & goes to the Rails to Trails, turn left, go until you see the turn around sign & then return to the finish. Please stay on the right side of the path. Registration is still open if you have a friend that wants to run!

Bring your shirts to have them marked!
If you have not signed the waiver for Country’s, need your signature.
Parking: best place to park to assure easy exit will be on side of road or in grass after the entrance to the rails to trails – watch for parking signs. Road will be closed from 7:20pm until the race is finished from Friendship Hall all the way to the section of the rails to trails.
Runner safety is important!
New Balance will be there – check them out!

Jeff Galloway Program Half Marathon Training Begins

The Jeff Galloway Program is very excited to be beginning its third big year in Columbus. Over the past two years nearly 200 members trained for and completed either a full- or half- marathon by adhering to Jeff’s run/walk approach to training.

On Saturday, July 27, we will host our Soldier Half Marathon kick off run. If you have ever dreamed of completing 13.1, join us for free on Saturday morning and find out what it’s all about. Wear your running clothes because we will be running–rain or shine.
If you can run 3 miles, you can do this program and we have groups for all abilities.
