A new Couch to 5k program started September 15 and a new 5k to 10k program started at the same time.  Katie Walden is leading this popular program.  Katie is a great leader and motivator for this group and anyone that would like to improve their fitness is invited to come out and see why so many people have gone though this program.  Many have been amazed at the progress they have made to complete a 5k after the program. Dr. Troy Espiritu and Dr. Rick Mansfield are going to Washington, D.C. to run in the Marine Corps Marathon. Dr. Espiritu has 4 children and is passionate about keeping children safe.  Dr. Mansfield is a Pediatrician with 6 children and also is passionate about keeping children safe.  Safe Kids Columbus is participating in the national fundraising effort to support our community, Safe Kids Columbus, and Safe Kids USA.

Safe Kids Columbus runs programs on the local level that touches the lives of many in our community. These outreach efforts result in more kids wearing helmets properly, more car seats distributed and installed properly to families in need, more working smoke alarms in homes, and more children wearing life jackets. Please help us provide these safety devices and educate families.

We are partnering with Safe Kids USA to help us raise the needed resources to better serve families and kids across the United States. Even with the loyal support of our partners, many children still need our help to stay safe from injury. We are lucky to have a community with members like you who are eager and willing to help.
