The Winter Classic 5K and 1 mile race was run at Smiths Station on
2/16/2008 and there were 5 Alabama Age Group State Records Set.
John
Neill set the 19 year old record with a time of 4:21.35
Tim
English set a 20 year age group state record of 4:23.92.
On
the women's side there were 3 age group state records. 3 year old
Waverly Peters set an Alabama state age group record by over a minute
with a time of 10:52.57. Alicia Daniel lowered her own 15
year old Al age group record to 5:32.06. Andrea Lewallen shattered
the 20 year old Al state age group record by over a minute with a time
of 5:39.14.
The
overall men's winner was John Neill and the women's winner was
Alicia Daniel
The
overall winner in the 5K for men was David Boyer in 18:21.42 and for
the women Anje Kidd in 21:01.01

Columbus Red Nose Marathon and Half Marathon |

Join fellow runners for this FREE group run along
the beautiful RiverWalk. This run is for anyone interested in running a
full or a half marathon. The Red Nose is not a race and it will be the
runner's responsibility to keep their own time. Water, fruit and sports
drinks will be available on the course and strategic turning points
will be indicated with signs.
The Course:
Below are the links to the Red Nose Marathon and Half Marathon. Both runs begin at Fountain City
Coffee on Broadway. For each run, follow the route as depicted on the
map until you reach the end. At the turn around point, follow the
RiverWalk back to Bay Ave and take a right to finish at Fountain City Coffee on Broadway (right on Dillingham Street, left on Front Ave, right at 10th Street and left onto Broadway)
